Privacy
Robot You is a free fan game from Botflix. You watch the Botflix live channels, earn XP, and level up a robot avatar. We keep data collection small, and this page lists all of it.
What we get from Google
When you sign in with Google we ask only for the basic openid, email and profile scopes. From your Google account we keep just three things:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your profile picture link
We also keep Google's anonymous account ID so we can recognize you next time. We never see your Google password, and we don't access your contacts, Gmail, Drive, YouTube account or anything else. Your Google name, email and picture are never shown publicly. Other players only ever see your robot name, glow color, level, rank and any title you've equipped.
What the game stores
- Your robot profile: robot name, class, origin, glow color and optional settings like hiding from the leaderboard.
- Game progress: XP, level, bolts, symbols, streaks, badges, items, Broadcast Drops grabbed, symbols collected, and a log of how you earned them.
- Watch activity: which Botflix channel you watched, and for how many minutes per day. Your browser sends a small "still watching" signal about every 30 seconds while a channel is playing in a visible tab. It contains no audio, video or screen content.
- Wallets and purchases (only if you use the Chrome Counter): the public Solana address(es) you link, when and how they were linked, the signed link message, your $BOTC orders (item, USD price, BOTC amount and quote, order reference, transaction signature, paying wallet, status) and when you accepted the purchase terms. Wallet addresses and transactions are public on the Solana blockchain by nature. We never ask for or see your seed phrase or private keys, and we can't move funds. We look up your $BOTC balance through a Solana RPC provider to check you have enough before checkout, and the BOTC/USD price from DexScreener. Unlinking a wallet removes the link; purchase records are kept for bookkeeping.
- Sign-in session: a secure, HTTP-only cookie keeps you signed in on that device for up to 180 days after you last used it. We store only a scrambled (hashed) version of it.
- Anti-abuse signals: a one-way hash of your network address, which changes daily, used only to spot mass multi-account farming. We don't store raw IP addresses in the game database.
- Live viewer counts: While you play a stream we use your approximate city/country (from Cloudflare) and device type for live, aggregate viewer counts; this is held in memory for under a minute and never stored or linked to you.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand overall traffic, like page views and broad events such as "level up". We also count unique daily visitors with a random ID stored in your browser and hashed on our side. The owner dashboard shows totals such as sign-ups, daily active users and minutes watched per channel.
Embedded players
The channels play through YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube's own privacy policy applies to the player.
What we never do
- Sell your data.
- Show your email or Google name publicly.
- Send you marketing email from this game.
- Give your data to anyone except the services that run the game (Cloudflare for hosting and storage, Google for sign-in and analytics, YouTube for the players, and a Solana RPC provider for wallet balances and payment checks if you use the Chrome Counter).
Your choices
- Hide yourself from the leaderboard in Profile → Settings.
- Sign out, or sign out of every device, from your profile.
- Ask us to delete your account and all game data by messaging @botflixtv on X from the account you want deleted, or via the contact options on botflix.tv. You can also revoke Robot You's access at any time in your Google Account under Security → Third-party connections.
Kids
Robot You is meant for players 13 and older. If you're under 13, please don't sign in. Botflix Kids content is available without an account at botflixkids.com.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we'll also say so in the game.
